Soggy Canada Day

We've had a lot of rain this week. More flooding down at the creek today, as we got our second inch in as many days, and the ground was already sodden with the 2.25 inches from last Thursday. And to think I was complaining about the lack of rain just before this wet week started.

Which would you rather have: too much rain or drought? I'll take this over the once in 50-year drought we endured in 2007.

  1. I'd rather have right in between Yvonne!! :-) If the pattern holds it will stop raining here very soon and then it wont rain again until it snows!!I hope the sun is out soon!

  2. Hi Yvonne........
...if your property is draining fairly well, I'd take the rain too. Our property, however, doesn't drain well so I'm not so sure. Especially if your plants are mature and can stand some drought - they may not look so good, but will proberly survive with just a little help.

  3. Actually, most of my plants survived the drought rather well, with my help, of course, doing emergency watering. But I was a nervous wreck all summer - worrying about them.
