I have my dog Toby to thank for finding this little scene in our garden, and drawing my attention to it. It seems that we have pretty good help in battling snails and slugs.

Yvonne! What a striking tableau. But I'm wondering about the little hole in the middle—could it be a bolt-hole for escapee escargot? Or maybe Toby just got his nose in there...
ReplyDeleteWow that is a RIOT Yvonne!!
ReplyDeleteGood job Toby!!!
I'm sure that critter just knew you would be coming to pick up the trash at some point! Smart little buggar!
Never seen anything like that! Any idea what kind of critter would eat snails (oh, sorry escargot of course)and then even put out the trash for pick up?
ReplyDeleteBon appetit!
I think it's voles, or some kind of field mouse.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos on your blog!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Welcome, Catherine, I hope you'll visit again.
ReplyDeleteWhat ever that critter is that lives down that little hole...I want one! It seems to be great at taking on snails!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo, Kim
